Topics are the most powerful tool in Heyday, so let’s show you how to make the most of them.

Asking good questions of the Assistant is a skill, but there’s a simple framework to get clear, helpful answers.

Here’s a step-by-step example of how you can make the most of Topics.

To explain this, we’ll use the example of compiling a 360 review.

If you’ve done a 360 review before, you already know they take weeks to synthesize. Last week, we had a customer complete a 360 with more than 15 interviews in less than an hour.

It’s a 3-step process:

  1. Upload a foundational article or document of best practices. This is your framework that will guide the response. In the case of a 360 interview, perhaps this is a best practices document from McKinsey.
  2. Upload your files, recordings, and notes. These are your own experiences that our Assistant will use. For a 360 interview, these would be your call recaps and any other notes you’ve taken.
  3. Then start the conversation. Continuing the example, ask, “Using the McKinsey 360 model as a baseline, summarize takeaways for this person.”

The result will be framed around your initial document. Give it a try.
