Heyday generates suggested sources for your writing based on what you want to write about. Simply start by creating a title, defining your audience, choosing where you want your sources to come from, and choosing your outline’s output (either a blog post or LinkedIn post).
You will see an expanded outline for each of the high-level themes created, all generated from the sources you’ve listed.
Let’s work through this step-by-step.
Then add your audience - Who is this content for?
If you’ve saved off your target audience on sign-up, we’ll automatically add it for any new piece you write.
After you’ve decided on your audience, you can add an optional description to help the Writer understand what this content is about. A sentence or two can go a long way!
Choose the sources you want to draw from. For content that draws only from your calls and writing, choose the top option. If you want to bring in articles you’ve read, click the bottom option.
If you’re writing directly from a topic, we’ll autofill your topic contents as sources. Don’t change this option!
Lastly, choose the output for your outline. Today, Heyday supports short posts (LinkedIn) and longer pieces (blog post/article). When you click, we’ll start generating your outline.
The writing process requires you to first approve the high-level parts of your outline. Click ‘Approve Sections’ to advance.
You can make any edits you want at this point, which will inform the details within each high-level point.
Then, each section can be further edited. Click ‘Approve Section Topics’ to move through the outline.
If you want to change out the specific sources that are informing the outline, you’ll have to regenerate the content.
At the end of your outline, you’ll see something like this. Click the ‘Generate’ button to see your draft.
After your draft is generated, you can ask the Writer to edit it based on direct feedback. Click ‘Regenerate’ to create a new draft based on your modifications.
From there, copy your end draft and make final edits in your favorite tool or share directly!
